The past few months were definitely marked by the lockdown. I’m glad that we can still go out outside to take a walk or ride the bicycle. Can’t wait to see my family and friends again without worrying too much though. I’ve spent my time differently, but still did a lot of fun things. 😀 And discovered one not so fun thing. 🙁
My love story with food continues…
Until first half of March with friends, after that only with the boyf of course. I’m so glad he’s quite the foodie as well! 😀

A walk on the bright side
When we had the first sunny weekend in weeks, right before corona hell broke loose, I couldn’t have been happier. I could already imagine so many brunches, lunches, dinners and drinks with friends. Yeah, well…

First time fitness

Remember how I wrote about my Hunkemoller sport outfit that I was using as a motivator to eventually get strong enough to start running again?
I could literally use it once before the fitnesses had to close because of corona… :’)
Supporting our locals
During the lockdown in March & April I’ve supported a lot of shops I loved visiting before the lockdown. By buying this granola from Oats Day Long for example. So good!

Repotted some plants
Spring is the perfect time to repot your plants. We have quite a large Monstrera that realllly needed a bigger pot, so we helped him out. We definitely see he’s much better off now! Besides that I gave some chlorophytums that I had cut and was growing in water a proper place.

This Only Poptrash addiction is getting out of hand
I already owned three Only Poptrash pants, and now I have 5. 😀 And I have two other styles (a checkered one and a fake leather one) on my wishlist too.

Birthday celebrations
This was such a yummy present form the boyf! But so so much!!
And my brother and his girlfriend sent us a unicorn piñata! Loved it! 😀

Cherry blossom season

My first grey hair 🙁

Yep, I really did not like this… At the beginning of the lockdown I noticed my first grey hair. Must have been the stress of seeing Italy’s struggle with the virus and hoping it wouldn’t be like that over here as well… 🙁
Never enough washi tape
Ugh, my bullet journal will be even prettier now. I’ve received several packages in March & April, but these were my faves!

The book lover in me awoke again
Thanks to the lockdown I succeeded in reading a LOT of books: I’ve read seven in March & April. I didn’t like all of them of course, but American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins, Recursion by Blake Croush and Behind her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough are really good! That last one was marketed with the hashtag #WTFthatending and I literally felt that way. 🙂

Taking advantage of still living in Ghent
Ever since we have signed the compromise for our house we have tried to enjoy our last months in Ghent to a maximum. The lockdown did change that (no more walking to meet with friends, no more last party and going home by foot, no more walking to work, …) but we just enjoyed other thing. Like visiting the Gentbrugse Meersen. So calm and peaceful!

The lockdown did change our life a lot, but I’m glad we can still walk wherever we want to, or take the bike to further away places. However, I’m still sad that we couldn’t fully take advantage of our last few months in Ghent. We did take full advantage of our appartment’s rent though! 😀
